Teachers Ascend into West Virginia marries the popular Ascend West Virginia remote worker initiative with innovative teacher recruitment models across the country.

This relocation program aims to attract high-quality educators to the Mountain State by touting a work-life balance that instills community, purpose and outdoor adventure with a passion for teaching and learning.

We’ve carefully crafted a program that speaks to teachers’ professional interests, ideal work environment and quality of life aspirations.

With a shared vision for the teaching profession and love for the mountains of West Virginia, we hope to hope to position West Virginia as a competitive place to live and teach by offering rewarding experiences.

We welcome new teachers into our home – to the place we call Almost Heaven. We hope they find a sense of purpose and belonging in our schools and in our communities.
