Clay County Schools K-3 grade students, students of low socioeconomic status, students identified as homeless and special education students.
Participating teachers will engage in ongoing professional development to explore and implement six practical ways to integrate the science of reading into a balanced literacy classroom. Working alongside academic coaches, they will apply what they learned in their reading instruction, which in turn, will help develop joyful, strong readers who enjoy books, love to read, and are equipped to successfully navigate the printed word and comprehend what they are reading.
