Dr. Ansaar T. Rai is a Professor of Neuroradiology, Neurosurgery, and Neurology and Chairman of the Department of Neuroradiology at the Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute, West Virginia University. A leader in neurointerventional surgery for over two decades, he has authored over 200 peer-reviewed publications and led multinational clinical trials advancing therapies for neurovascular disease. He currently chairs the Neuroendovascular Surgery Accreditation Council (NESAC) of the American Board of Neurosurgery, overseeing fellowship training nationally. In addition to his academic leadership, he serves as Chief Medical Officer for Siemens Healthineers Endovascular Robotics, where he guides the development, clinical translation, and regulatory strategy of next-generation robotic and image-guided neurovascular technologies, with a focus on automation and the future of neurointerventional care.
