Nathan Flesher is a partner in McKinsey & Company’s Basic Materials practice where he leads MineLens, McKinsey’s dedicated mining analytics, benchmarking, and expert service. Client work includes operations, maintenance, capital, and continuous improvement worldwide with a recent focus developing advanced analytical tools in digital transformation programs and supporting miners in the energy transition.
Previous work experience includes infrastructure construction; research in structural health monitoring and modeling of materials for structural applications and failure analysis; and, risk management consulting for an international insurance program focused on operational and mechanical risk evaluation and mitigation.
Dr. Flesher graduated from Stanford University with a Ph.D., Mechanical Engineering in 2005. Prior to attending Stanford he received, in 2001, a M.S. degree in Applied Mechanics as well as a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Virginia
Nathan is originally from Morgantown, WV and currently lives in Montara, CA with his wife Donna (VP Biomarker and Bioanalytical Sciences at HIBio) and children Lila and Brooks.
