Douglas Perry has 31 years of public service as an electronics engineer and information technology manager at NOAA. He was appointed to the Senior Executive Service and joined the Office of the CIO to lead IT operations and transformation initiatives as the Deputy Chief Information Officer in July 2016. Doug’s recent accomplishments include creation of the NOAA IT Fellowship Program – a program designed to recruit, develop, and retain a talented and diverse IT and cybersecurity workforce.
Doug received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the West Virginia University Institute of Technology and a Master of Science degree in Cybersecurity Management and Policy from the University of Maryland Global Campus and he is an alumnus of the Federal Executive Institute.
