Brad Price, Ph.D.

Brad Price, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Business Data Analytics in the John Chambers College of Business and Economics. His research focuses on developing novel machine learning methods that utilize cutting-edge algorithms to solve widely applicable problems with specific interest in healthcare and business operations. 

Brad has published articles in top tier machine learning and statistics journals such as the Journal of Machine Learning Research, where he also serves as an editorial board reviewer. 

More recently, he has been working in partnership with the Governors Joint Interagency Task Force for the COVID-19 Response and the West Virginia National Guard to develop forecasts to respond to PPE needs for every hospital in the state. He has also been working on an inventory management system for vaccine demand and distribution. 

Brad is a native of Madison, WV and has dual B.S. from West Virginia University in Mathematics and Industrial Mathematics and Statistics. He received is Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota School of Statistics, and was previously the director of the Master of Science in Business Analytics at the University of Miami.
